What is the School Community Council?
Quail Hollow School Community Council is excited for the new school year. Our responsibilities are to work with the school administration and faculty in administering the plans for School Improvement, Professional Development, Literacy, Safe Transportation and Trust Lands funds. When Utah was granted Statehood, parcels of land were placed in a perpetual Trust with the children of Utah as beneficiaries. Revenues from these lands go into the Permanent State School Fund. The dividends and interest of that fund are distributed annually to each public school in Utah.Another role of the SCC is to foster communication between the parents and the school regarding local school issues. This gives parents and school employees opportunity to be involved in the decision making process at the local school level. If you have questions, concerns or suggestions for our school please contact a member of the SCC. Information is available on the school web site. Please see other sections of this tab for the meeting dates, agendas and minutes.
Most importantly, your involvement with your child’s education will lay a foundation for future success at school and beyond. Please take time each day to talk with your student about school and encourage proper study habits.
Thank you for your support and commitment to Quail Hollow Elementary.
