Minutes

Welcome: Sam Avery 7:52 am

The minutes from the previous meeting in January were approved and available online.

The council reviewed expenditures from current year’s LAND TRUST Plan expenditures which are on track with a balance of less 10% expected at the end of the year. The council will review the draft of next year’s LAND TRUST Plan at the next meeting.

The council reviewed the Positive Behavior Plan draft. The council suggested offering a short 15 minute session that will be provided 3-4 times during back to school night to inform parents on available school wellness resources. It was also suggested to have the parent night in fall where school resources will be presented and discussed in more detail. Having parent night earlier in the year will give students and parents the opportunity to learn of and use these resources throughout the year. The council recommended adding the Peace Path to the Positive Behavior Plan description.

The next round of HERO Awards is approaching. A link was sent to parents to submit nominations by March 15th. The subcommittee will review nominations and select three teachers/staff to receive the awards. It is expected the awards will be presented to recipients the week of March 20th.

The council will discuss council positions opening at the end of this term at the next meeting on April 12.

Motion to adjourn by Mike, seconded by Josh. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 8:27 am.
