Minutes

Welcome: Sam Avery 7:54 am

The minutes from the pervious meeting in November were approved and available online.

The TSSP and LAND Trust plans are being drafted for next year. The SCC will write and develop LAND Trust plan to address one or more goals from TSSP. The council reviewed the LAND Trust plan from the 2022-2023 school year. No amendments to the plan or expenditures were necessary. Council members were reminded and encouraged to think about any new goals that should be added to next year’s plan. New goal requests will be shared and reviewed at the next SCC meeting in February.

The final report for 2022-2023 plan is complete and ready for submission by end of January. Mr. DeMill will submit the final report.

The SCC roster as it appears online was reviewed and accurate.

The Child Access Routing Plan (SNAP) is due Jan 14th. The SCC requested the sidewalk curbs at both Golden Eye Drive and Teal Way be cut away or replaced with a ramp to make it easier for students traveling to school on wheels to cross streets safely.

A welcoming wooden box with blank HERO award nomination cards was placed in the main office to remind parents of the award and to collect hand-written nominations. A reminder to submit HERO nominations through the google form will be sent to parents following parent teacher conferences. Online and hand-written nominations will be compiled and three additional members of the staff will be selected to receive the HERO award at the end of the next trimester.

Annie Puchar will speak at the Wellness Night on January 31st. The school psychologist, Ms. Dupree, will present available school resources. Fliers will be sent home with students and hung up on the outside of the gray doors where students line up in the morning to remind parents of the event. Efforts will be made to request a local pediatrician to speak at the event. Mr. DeMill will contact the district office to request the event be recorded. The presentation will be made available on the website and on Facebook for those who could not attend or who would like to hear the presentation again.

Motion to adjourn-Betsy Crowther, Sam Avery seconded, approved at 8:27 am.
