A subcommittee was created to request and review parent comments to select 3 Staff members/trimester for the HERO award. Last year, SCC created the Quail Hollow HERO award for Staff members making an impact through Helping, Enriching, Remarkable Effort and/or Outreach. Staff members will be selected for the HERO award that includes a custom YETI tumbler, based on parent nominations and comments. There are enough tumblers for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years. Cherie, Elysia, Breanne and Betsy volunteered to solicit parent feedback and select winners of the QH HERO award for each trimester of the 2022-2023 school year. The subcommittee will also print and distribute postcards to students to take home as a convenient way to promote communication between parents and teachers and to encourage teacher appreciation.
A new emotional intelligence curriculum called The Zones of Regulation could be implemented this year if there is support from teachers to do so. Mr. DeMill will present the curriculum to teachers and request feedback.
Mr. DeMill will make sure the website is updated with current information regarding council members.
Motion to adjourn at 8:50 by Betsy, seconded by Mike, Passed.
