Jeff reviewed the goals and action steps from TSSP and LandTrust for 2026-2027. Data will be available to review in our October meeting.(Attach goals and action steps)
Here is the correction to the School Climate Action Steps:
1. Counselor to full-time supplement (TSSP: $28,000)
2. MTSS Aide to full-time supplement (TSSP: $17,500)
3. Purchase PBIS Supplies ($500)
4. Tardy reduction campaign
4. Elect Chair/Co-Chair/Recorder
Dominick Romero volunteered to be chair. Vote was unanimous (minus Brian Rudes).

5. Safety Concern
a. East Parking Lot
i. No supervision.
ii. Would like to lock parking gate between 8:15-3:45. This covers latest teacher arrival time and earliest teacher departure time.
Discussed the situation in the east faculty parking lot adjacent to the portable where dumpsters are located. This area is not supervised by adults. Jeff and Liza have recently seen students walking through that lot. Joey expressed concern of enough parking for drop off and pick up others echoed this while reviewing issues associated with the enforcement of the no-parking zone on the street east of the school between Albion and Quail Hollow. Concern with parents sending their kids across the street on their own. Jeff expressed he would like the support of PTA and SCC to spread the message about the no-parking/drop-off/Pick-up zine on the west side of the street. Jeff is not comfortable leaving that parking lot unattended without locking the gate. Since this is primarily staff parking with limited and variable availability each afternoon during pick up, it makes more sense to lock the gate and have staff work around the open hours vs. creating another daily duty position for teachers.
We will discuss the overall plan and communication needs for keeping the east side safe. Nick added that we can increase messaging to the students while Liza and Jeff suggested that would not be enough – Nick clarified that messaging to students should go along with locking the gate.
