Welcome and Introductions: Shad
The Bylaws of Quail Hollow SCC, and procedures for Robert’s Rules of Order will be followed during SCC meetings.
Election of Officers:
Chairman – Melinda Rosevear Motion-Cherie, 2nd -Pat, passed
Vice Chairman – Cherie Sadowski Motion-Melinda, 2nd-Chelsea, passed
Secretary – Pat Passey Motion-Melinda, 2nd Cherie, passed
Shad will email our updated SCC Directory to the SCC members.
Meetings Scheduled for 2021-22 school year:
October 5, November 9, December 9, January 13, February 10, March 17, April 14, and May 12.
Each SCC member will attend one of CSD training meetings being offered this month.
SCC Outreach – Teacher Janora Jara will post SCC minutes and agendas on the Quail Hollow website.
Emergency Drills – Shad distributed a monthly calendar of the various drills planned.
CSIP and School Land Trust goals and expenditures were reviewed. Acadience testing is scheduled for Quail Hollow in mid-September. We may amend our plan to include stretch goals to challenge capable students in addition to the current goals to assist students needing extra help.
Other Items:
Cell Tower Funds may be used to provide stipends to teachers with duties beyond their classroom assignments like student council advisor or helping at Literacy Night as well as teacher appreciation.
Parents Teacher Conferences will be scheduled in a hybrid format, with some times available virtually and other slots for in-person meetings.
Volunteers who will be working directly with students will need to wear face coverings.
In the classrooms 10% – 30% of the students currently wear face coverings.
A Literacy and Wellness Night will be planned for Tuesday, October 19. Funds are available to provide supplies and/or stipend a speaker. Cathy Bruner is the Instructional Coach for Quail Hollow.
