Approval of Agenda
The agenda was unanimously approved as distributed. The agenda items included the following:
- Submit membership for to School LAND Trust website and include
member info on school website
- Assure Meeting schedule for the year is on school website
- Assure public notice of meetings
- Submit Principal Assurance on the School LAND Trust website
- Vote on suggested bylaws changes
- Review current year’s LAND Trust plan, data, expenditures, and review if spending is on course
- Finalize School Safety Report, Digital Citizenship Report, and Safe Walking Routes (Due 11/1)
Items discussed during the meeting:
- The Bylaws are approved for now, but we need to change (II. Membership) to include a min of 4 parents maximum of 6. We suggest this be added to the April 2025 SCC agenda.
- Goals: By Spring 2025 reading goals need to need to be matched by the state requirements.
- Land Trust Funds: Funds are currently being used for TA’s
- TSSP Plan:
- Is currently open, but it’s mostly paying for aids.
- In February of 2025 we need to look at the surplus of the TSSP to see what we will do.
- Parent ID at child check out needs to be endorsed more strictly.
- Jeff will follow up with the front office and the protocol.
- Thrive Time improvements:
- Jeff will take this to the committee meeting to see if there are any holes in the program.
- Attendance policy is approved
- We need to create an action plan for Cell Phone Policy. Our #1 concern is safety for our students.
- Two items that did not get covered that need to take place at our next meeting:
- SCC is over digital safety and someone needs to be in charge of Media Safety Week. Elysia did it last year so we need a new person to head it up.
- Also, a new subcommittee for the HERO awards needs to be formed with someone to head that up as well. The first round should be underway asap with awards being given next month.
Minutes approved from last meeting.
Adjourn at 9:14 am. Sarah Johnson SCC Secretary.
