SCC Meeting Minutes
Opening:
The regular meeting of Quail Hollow Elementary School Community Council was called to order at 7:50 am August 28, 2024 the Quail Hollow Elementary School conference room by Chair Mike Sax who is present remotely.

Approval of Agenda
The agenda was unanimously approved as distributed.
- Nominations and elections to be held for four openings on SCC. Those interested will send in applications 10 days after announcement is sent by Mr. Nalwalker on August 30, 2024. If an election is necessary, it will be held on September 11. Three election boxes will be placed in the office and in 2 outside locations during drop off. Plan to hold elections in the Spring for openings for next 2025-2026 SCC. Plan proposed by Josh and second my Elysia with unanimous approval.
- Proposal by Mr. Nalwalker to have a portion of the cell tower funds be designated for teacher wellness including a monthly lunch for school staff. The proposed amount is $10 per person per month. The approval for use of these funds will need to be done each school year. Whitney proposed, Kraig second with all in favor.
- Safey Patrol funds are currently being paid the PTA but should be funded by the SCC. Approximately $600 a year needed for reward parties and equipment. Suggestion to revisit pros and cons of student safety patrol for future meeting.
- White Ribbon Week will be executed by SCC this school year. Previous one was held in March. Plan to delegate responsibility at future meeting once new members are in place.
- HERO awards for staff members will be continued this year by SCC. Delegation of role will be determined when new members are in place.
