School Community Council Elections

School Community Councils are elected parent/guardian and employee representatives who work together with the principal to increase student achievement.  By law, the Council is responsible to review school data and assist in developing plans for school improvement.  Councils also advise in the allocation of the Land Trust funds to assist the school in reaching goals.

We are in need of parent representatives to serve on the committee.  Terms are two years.  Committee members are elected during a general election unless there are fewer or equal nominations to the number of openings.   School Community Council meetings are held the second Thursday of each month excluding summer months and December.  Meeting times will be determined by the Council at the first meeting in September.

Elections will be held over three days in August, from the 28th through the 30th.  Back to School Night is August 29th.

We have two seats open for the 2017-18 school year. Please become involved in our council by declaring your candidacy.  You may fill out the attached form and bring it to the office or submit your declaration by email to This email address is being protected from spambots.
